This is a really great tour!….the tour begins 7.00 am from El Chalten …after two and a half hours you get to the Camping Prestadores where you have an hour to have breakfast.
Afterwards you have to cross the river with a rope) that’s a really nice experience! )…after another hour walking on the rocks with great views of the Torres Lake, the Torre hill and the Torre Glacier….Once you reach the Glacier they provide you with crampons to walk an hour on it…….and that’s not all!......before leaving the Glacier you’ll make Ice climbing!!
The tour includes two or three English speaking guides depending on the size of the group.
You will go back to El Chalten at 19.30pm, or you can stay in the Torre Lake to sleep in the camping to cross on the next day through the Madre e Hija Lake to get to Laguna de los tres (the main view point for the Fitz Roy).
You need to be in good shape to do it, but it’s not very hard… you will enjoy it very much!! |
